Holiday Inn Express - NYC Times Square Review

Stayed March 2015, traveled as a couple.

This is my second HIE in NYC and the hotel's free buffet breakfast is a feature I always look for because we can save $30-$40 daily. It's open from 7:30am to 9:30am M-F and Saturdays and Sundays, till 10am. It has a variety of fruits, which you can take to go for a quick snack later, also, pancakes, eggs, yogurts, all sorts of bread, juices and coffee. I think its a great solution to at least put something in your stomach before going out.

Room: The room wasn't very big but we were a couple, so we did fit perfectly. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. Also, you can have a complimentary USA Today newspaper every day and a complimentary hot chocolate in the late afternoon (delicious!). There's a hairdryer on the bathroom, and a coffee maker in the room. Also, an iron and iron bed and laundry bags.

LOCATION: ¡Excelentísimo! The closest Subway is on the street right behind, on the 40th and 8th avenue; like a 1 minute walk. And Times Square was 3 blocks away. Restaurants and pharmacies are very close by... The location is great!

There's no fitness center, but you can use one of the hotel partners which are literally next door.

Cons: Two things many people could find bothersome is: two elevators for 36 floors could make your waiting to more than 5-10 minutes. And the outside noise (car horns, ambulances, etc) could be heard clearly; but of course its NYC! What could you expect? Didn't really bother us.

I could stay here again with no hesitation!
